Chief Agronomist
– Uganda
– Relocation SGF Global is recruiting a Chief Agronomist for one of our international agri-tech clients. This is a senior, hands-on role with solo relocation to Uganda, leading all agronomic activities at a flagship agricultural site combining advanced greenhouse systems and data-driven cultivation. The role includes full responsibility for cultivation processes, team leadership, crop quality, and close collaboration with site management and agronomy/R&D teams based in Israel. Responsibilities: * Lead all agronomic operations on site and manage the local team. * Implement and adapt cultivation protocols to local conditions. * Oversee greenhouse systems: irrigation, fertigation, climate control, and crop cycles. * Monitor plant health, quality, and regulatory compliance. * Maintain agronomic data and performance reporting. * Collaborate with international agronomy and R&D teams. Requirements: * BSc in Agronomy / Agriculture / Plant Science
– required. * 3+ years’ experience in greenhouse and soilless cultivation. * Hands-on experience with irrigation, fertigation, and climate-control systems. * Team leadership experience. * High-level English. * Experience in Africa or with specialty crops – an advantage.
