System Engineer | Yehud, Israel | IAI Join the Missile and Space Systems Division and take part in the development of advanced defense platforms and complex multidisciplinary systems. The position includes:
• Managing the engineering development process throughout the project lifecycle, from specification definition through delivery and customer training
• Leading design and development activities with business projects and subcontractors to meet system and subsystem requirements
• Identifying and analyzing customer requirements and managing interfaces between subsystems and system integrations
• Planning and executing system verification and validation tests
• Identifying and managing technical risks within the project
• Identifying engineering knowledge gaps required for project execution
• Managing the overall engineering effort of the project
• Defining the development environment, infrastructure, procedures, tools, and resources
• Defining and managing engineering data and documentation
• Leading peer reviews and technical design reviews
• Working closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and partners
• Defining and managing the required engineering deliverables for each project phase, including documentation of justifications What we’re looking for:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Control Engineering, or Communications Engineering required
• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Systems Engineering is a significant advantage
• At least 3 years of experience in development and production of multidisciplinary systems required
• Experience managing product transition to production, system integration, and system testing required
• Experience in mechanical systems development is a significant advantage
• Mechanical engineering experience is an advantage
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and configuration management is an advantage
• Experience working with multiple engineering disciplines such as control and integration is an advantage
• Experience leading development in a matrix organization is an advantage
• Experience writing engineering specification documents is an advantage
• High level of English is an advantage Good to know: The Ground Systems Plant within the Missile and Space Systems Division develops, manufactures, and delivers a wide range of launch platforms, control units, and mobile land and naval platforms for defensive and offensive systems. The organization manages dozens of projects simultaneously with annual deliveries worth tens of millions of dollars to customers in Israel and worldwide. Alongside operational programs, the team is involved in the design and development of new and innovative systems at the System of Systems level, offering an opportunity to gain significant experience in a dynamic and challenging engineering environment.
