We are looking for a Ship Operator that will provide service to ZIM ships, to be the official representative of ZIM at Bayport and Haifa port, and to serve as an interface for operation and problem solving between the ports, the agency’s departments and the agency’s clients. Main responsibilities: Ship Work * Receiving and reviewing the ship’s docket. * Organizing and supervising the ship’s work – handling problems, damages, bonding materials and missing cargo. * Planning and preparing the rest of the work for the coming shift and handover from one shift to the next. * Closure of the ship (shortages, discrepancies and relocation). * Preparing the ship for departure. * Handling clearances for ships to set sail. * Receipt and delivery of the ship’s outgoing and incoming mail. Coordination * Receipt and delivery of information about containers. * Preparing the closure form and sending the export list to the port. * Inspection and documentation of the loading and unloading of High Value cargo, BB cargo and any other special cargo, and sending a detailed report to the Insurance Division. * Assistance and care for customers who require exceptional activity. Requirements: We are looking for: * Academic education – a must * Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role- a must! * Good knowledge of the shipping industry * High level of English in speaking and writing- a must * Willingness to work in shifts during the week and on weekends
