Shell-Case is a global leader in custom carrying and protection solutions for advanced medical and electronic devices. We are expanding our R&D team and are looking for a Senior Mechanical Designer to take a technical product and project leadership role. Role Overview Technical ownership of products and projects
– Managing the product from an engineering and execution perspective, including documentation, reviews, risk management, and communication with customers and suppliers. Hands-on mechanical design is required. Key Responsibilities * Own the technical execution of products and development projects from concept through production * Manage and maintain product documentation, including BOMs, design reviews, risks, and engineering changes (ECO) * Review and validate design work performed by designers and external partners * Coordinate with Quality and Operations, and suppliers to ensure successful Design Transfer from development to production. * Manage prototypes, testing, production ramp-up, and ongoing product improvements * Perform hands-on mechanical design for complex or critical products and parts Requirements * Mechanical Engineer or experienced Mechanical Designer with a strong product development background * At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design and product development * High-level SolidWorks and other CAD softwares skills * Proven ability to manage complex products, documentation, and multiple interfaces. Solid understanding of DFM principles * Strong communication skills and full professional proficiency in English (spoken and written) * High level of independence, responsibility, and ability to lead technical processes end to end Preferred Qualifications * Experience in medical devices or other regulated industries (ISO 13485 advantage) * Familiarity with risk management methodologies such as FMEA * Experience working with international suppliers and manufacturing partners
