The Purchasing Manager will work as a manager of PRC department, supervising a team of purchasers and all orders by verifying, preparing, and/or forwarding purchase, repair, or service orders. Verification of receipts, authorization of payments, and monitoring of PRC department activities. This position requires relocation to Europe. Responsibilities & Duties

• In charge of the purchasing department and PRC team which are responsible for vessel related procurement/services/repairs/logistics needs.
• Identifying supply needs and expanding the company's supply/service/logistic sources, including doing tenders, due diligence and audits, to discover everything about their products, services, prices, qualifications, processes etc. Properly maintain the company vendor master.
• Network during conferences, trade shows, and meetings. Gather more information about the industry and new trends.
• Supervise provision orders together with the vessel purchaser.
• Evaluate/compare quotes and suppliers, for selected areas based on: price, quantity, lead time.
• Be personally involved and in case of urgent or high-profile events, have a procurement/repair/logistic aspect.
• Provide periodical analysis on related operating cost items and budgets.
• Manage existing and new contracts (like lubricants, paints, forwarding companies, etc.) and negotiate with them for improved prices / terms, including rebate agreements.
• Create work policies for the purchasing department with detailed instructions.
• Monitor and manage claims for wrong items or poor-quality items are processed properly till final corrective action from the supplier and correction of the company catalogue when applicable.
• Systematically monitors the effectiveness of verification and inspection activities within your department and within the fleet.
• Accountable for achieving your objectives Purchasing Repairs and Services
• Supervise all purchasing officers on their daily routine. Provide support when needed.
• Monitor correspondence with vessels and compliance with company policies and orders.
• Review and monitor together with Purchaser, Technical Superintendents, and Marine Superintendents requisitions received from the vessels.
• In charge of PPE stock at shore/office and monitoring distribution on board by purchasers
• Review and monitor workflow of purchasing orders and invoices as per company policy in respect of the purchasing department.
• Review and maintain all records quarterly/yearly regarding bought items, on cost, delivery, product performance, and inventories. Report this to senior managers and the CEO, and follow up to ensure any corrective action is taken to improve performance.
• Assist the management with their annual financial OPEX report and other periodic reports
• Analyzing the reported non-conformities that occurred within PRC team and ensuring that an improvement plan is in place to avoid recurrence
• Ensure that the PRC officers will always contact a minimum of two shore suppliers/contractors/workshops, and follow the optimal procedure till smooth completion of the supply/service and till proper checking/approval of the invoice
• Identify vessels' supply ports basis of intended trade and requirements and guide accordingly.
• Manage/guide logistic consolidations for the vessel/fleet according to major hubs and urgency needs. Qualifications
