We are looking for a Project Manager to join the Ground Systems Plant at IAI’s MALAT Division. The position includes:
• Managing development and production projects of ground-based military systems, including launch, control, and support systems for land and naval platforms
• Matrix management of system engineering teams, multidisciplinary engineers, and subcontractors
• Full responsibility for project budgets, schedules, milestones, and deliverables
• Serving as the main Point of Contact (POC) with the prime contractor and with customers in Israel and abroad
• End-to-end responsibility for the project’s ILS (Integrated Logistics Support) throughout the product lifecycle
• Preparing proposals and supporting marketing and procurement teams
• Ensuring compliance with requirements, execution of qualification tests, and operational trials of systems What we’re looking for:
• B.Sc. in Engineering – preference for Mechanical Engineering
• At least 3 years of experience in project management – required
• Hands-on experience in development and installation of military systems – required
• High-level technical writing and verbal communication skills in English – required
• Strong leadership skills, ability to motivate teams, and excellent interpersonal communication with stakeholders Advantages:
• Project Management certification or academic studies in project management
• Engineering or managerial role in a technological unit in the IDF
• Experience in the defense industry
• Background in vehicle engineering / armored systems
• Knowledge of additional languages Good to know: The Ground Systems Plant is responsible for the development and production of launch, control, and energy platforms for defensive and offensive systems operating on land and at sea. At any given time, dozens of projects are managed simultaneously, with annual deliveries totaling tens of millions of dollars to customers in Israel and worldwide. In parallel, advanced planning and development of innovative systems at a System of Systems level is performed. The role offers a dynamic work environment with diverse technological and managerial challenges.
