Role Description I am a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher with strong expertise in plant physiology, halophyte biology, and responses to abiotic stress, particularly under conditions of salinity and drought. My research focuses on enhancing plant productivity and nutritional quality through ecotype selection, nutrient management, and post-harvest optimization, with an emphasis on the biochemical, physiological, and antioxidant mechanisms underlying stress tolerance. I have extensive experience designing and conducting laboratory and greenhouse experiments, performing biochemical and antioxidant assays, analyzing complex datasets, and publishing results in peer-reviewed journals. I am eager to contribute to sustainable desert agriculture research at the Jacob Blaustein Institutes for Desert Research through collaborative and independent research initiatives, while mentoring students and actively participating in teaching and scientific dissemination. Qualifications * SDemonstrated strong laboratory skills in plant physiology, biochemistry, and stress-related experiments * Proven experience in research design, data analysis, and interpretation of physiological and biochemical datasets * Expertise in plant stress biology, including salinity, drought, nutrient management, and halophyte systems * Experience working with biochemical assays, antioxidants, total soluble sugars, polyphenols, and related analytical techniques * Ability to mentor students and contribute to teaching and academic training * Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaborative skills * A Ph.D. in Plant Sciences, Agriculture, Biotechnology, or a closely related field * Prior post-graduate research experience and a solid publication record in peer-reviewed journals * High motivation for interdisciplinary research and advancing knowledge in sustainable and desert agriculture
