Teaching & Research Laboratory Engineer Faculty of Health Sciences – Department of Microbiology, Immunology & Genetics Ben-Gurion University is seeking a skilled and motivated Teaching & Research Laboratory Engineer to support the operation, development, and safety of its laboratory environment within the School of Biomedical Research. 75% position What you’ll do * Lead, plan, develop, and implement experimental methods and research techniques in teaching and research labs * Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment * Prepare laboratory materials, reagents, and solutions * Provide hands-on support to students using lab equipment and performing experiments * Handle and preserve live microorganisms; perform laboratory work involving animals (e.g., mice) * Manage procurement of lab equipment and materials, including ordering and tracking deliveries * Serve as the laboratory Safety Officer, ensuring compliance with safety regulations What we’re looking for * M.Sc. in Biology, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or Medical Laboratory Science * At least 2 years of relevant experience * Experience working with mice * Proven experience operating laboratory instruments and equipment * Advantage: experience in designing and managing experimental systems * Advantage: experience in histology and microscopy
