The Department of Chemistry at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev is seeking an Electronics Laboratory Engineer to support teaching and research laboratories through hands-on development, maintenance, and operation of electronic instrumentation. This is a practical engineering role combining electronics design, laboratory support, and close collaboration with academic staff and students. Key Responsibilities * Develop, upgrade, and improve experimental setups involving electronic instrumentation for teaching and research laboratories. * Perform ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of electronic and scientific equipment used in teaching and research labs. * Design, develop, and build electronic instruments and systems for educational and research purposes, in coordination with the faculty workshop. * Manage procurement of electronic equipment, including inventory control, ordering, inspection, and testing of equipment before and after laboratory experiments. * Provide professional consultation and technical support to academic staff regarding the selection and purchase of electronic equipment. * Train and guide faculty members and students in the proper use of electronic instrumentation. * Ensure compliance with safety regulations and legal requirements within laboratory activities. Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (required); a Master’s degree is an advantage. * At least 2 years of relevant professional experience. * Proven experience in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting electronic and scientific instrumentation. * Experience in instructional or training activities is an advantage.
