סקירה כללית
^^משרה זו נלקחה מ Career^^NVIDIA has been transforming computer graphics, PC gaming, and accelerated computing for more than 25 years. It’s a unique legacy of innovation fueled by great technology and amazing people. Today, we’re tapping into the unlimited potential of AI to define the next era of computing, where our GPUs power computers, robots, and self‑driving cars that can understand the world. As an NVIDIAN, you’ll be immersed in a diverse, supportive environment where everyone is inspired to do their best work. Come join the team and see how you can make a lasting impact. We are looking for a master’s student or PhD candidate in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field to join our product‑engineering data‑science team as a Computer Vision Student Researcher. You will help develop in‑house Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) solutions for production tests and anomaly detection across design and manufacturing processes, using both classical computer vision and innovative deep learning. Under the mentorship of senior applied scientists, you will contribute to research, development, and prototyping of vision algorithms that are evaluated in real production environments. What you’ll be doing: Build, implement, and evaluate computer‑vision algorithms using classical and deep‑learning approaches (e.g., CNNs, Transformers, self‑supervised methods) in PyTorch. Apply traditional rule‑based techniques such as camera calibration, pose estimation, image registration, RANSAC, homographies, and SIFT/ORB features to real industrial image data. Contribute to the end‑to‑end vision pipeline, including data‑collection strategy, annotation workflows, quality checks, model training, validation, and benchmarking. Develop and maintain Python research code using libraries such as NumPy, OpenCV, PyTorch, and Pandas, with attention to readability, performance, and reproducibility. Work hands‑on with camera systems, including camera and optics setup, lighting configuration, calibration, and handling distortion and other imaging artifacts. Analyze model failures and data gaps, then propose and prototype improvements to data, annotations, and algorithms. Collaborate with software engineers and applied scientists to transition promising research prototypes into robust, production‑ready solutions. What we need to see: Currently enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics, or a closely related field. Proficiency with agentic AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) for research, prototyping, and productivity. Solid foundations in image analysis and machine learning, including experience with CNNs and/or Vision Transformers for image or video tasks. Programming skills in Python, with experience in at least some of: PyTorch, NumPy, OpenCV, and Pandas. Understanding of ML/DL algorithms and statistical modeling, and comfort working with data structures and numerical computing. Experience with modern software‑development practices and version‑control systems (e.g., Git). Ways to stand out from the crowd: Prior research or strong course projects in computer vision, especially applying ML/DL methods to real‑world or industrial problems. Familiarity with classical computer‑vision concepts such as camera models, projective geometry, and image registration. Experience using off‑the‑shelf AI models and computer‑vision tools for rapid prototyping and experimentation. Experience with self‑supervised or foundation‑vision models (e.g., DINO‑style methods, contrastive learning) or with deploying models in Docker containers..
