We are looking for a visionary and strategic Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead the cyber resilience of Discount Bank Group, one of Israel's leading financial institutions. If you thrive on protecting assets across complex environments (On-Prem, Cloud, Open Banking) and leading high-impact security operations, this is your next leadership opportunity! The Role The CISO will lead the cyber security strategy and information security policy for the entire Group. You will be accountable for establishing and leading the overall information security of the bank's sensitive information assets across all technological, physical, and human dimensions.
• Leading the Group's Cyber Security Strategy: Full accountability for formulating and implementing a multi-year information security strategy and annual work plan.
• Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC): Managing the global GRC system, setting KPIs, risk appetite, policies, guidelines, and ensuring compliance with national and international standards (e.g., ISO, NIST, Israeli regulations).
• Asset and Data Protection: Implementing and supervising security controls for all bank assets across On-prem, Cloud, and Open Banking. Leading complex cyber and application security projects (Security by Design, Core Banking, DevOps, CI/CD).
• Security Operations Center (SOC/IR): Owning and managing the 24/7 SOC/IR operation, including vulnerability management, advanced threat hunting, and Incident Response.
• Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR): Leading strategic planning for organizational resilience and managing the specialized cyber unit responsible for operational continuity and disaster recovery plans following sophisticated cyberattacks.
• Leadership and Management: Leading, developing, and empowering a high-performing security unit of dozens of professionals, managing a significant budget, and reporting to a senior executive team.
• Act as a key member of the technological governance committee and participate in the professional forums of the Bank's senior management. Requirements and Skills
• Experience: 10+ years of comprehensive experience in cyber and information security, with at least 5 years in a senior management role (CISO/Global CISO) within a large, complex organization.
• Technical Expertise: Proven deep knowledge of GRC, SOC, CERT, CISO/Incident Response processes, and management of advanced technological security controls (e.g., Cloud Architecture, IAM, Kubernetes).
• Financial Sector Knowledge: In-depth familiarity with the regulatory landscape of information security in the Israeli banking system and proven experience in integrating.
• DevSecOps / Application Security: Proven expertise in DevSecOps and Application Security.
