Cantrip has partnered with Total Wine & More, DoorDash, Edible Arrangements, Lowe’s Foods, Circle K, GoPuff, as well as local package & liquor stores, c-store, restaurants, and bars! Our products are delivered alongside Budweiser, Jack Daniel’s, and other big-name brands via the 3-tier alcohol distribution networks nationally. As we seek to continue our pursuit of easy to use, fun, safe, and reliable THC beverages we are looking for a rockstar Chain Account Manager to join our team. The Chain Account Manager will be responsible for working to manage our sales programing, placement, and activation, working directly with the COO, RSM, DSD and the sales representatives to build on Cantrip’s early chain success. A successful candidate will have experience with retailers like Target, Circle K, Publix, and others as well as a willingness to learn new channel business. This person would ideally be positioned in the Southeastern United States. This role reports to the COO and will work closely with RSMs and Trade Marketing. Job Duties
• Oversee multiple Chains, DSD, & Trade partners with a focus on fostering relationships across all levels of the supply chain to hit and exceed sales targets.
• Lead the programming, placement, and activation of Chains identifying, crafting, and deploying TPRs, displays, and branded POS.
• Ensure that shelving, pricing, and merchandising objectives are achieved consistently with Portfolio/Brand strategy, account objectives and efficient trade spending.
• Design and communicate execution expectations for all promotional activities at the store level with internal and external stakeholders.
• Utilize weekly reporting to develop KPI’s and identify growth opportunities.
• Design and implement KPIs, incentives and programming with effective tracking mechanisms in place.
• Prepare and deliver monthly/quarterly presentations balancing the company’s priorities and customer needs, including menu concepts, new product introduction and promotions.
• Leverage analytical resources to optimize distribution, monitor/manage OOS conditions, optimal SKU/pricing strategies, and trade spend.
• Take lead initiative in understanding overall category and competitive trends, using VIP, Nielsen, IRI, and other data outlets.
• Must be available for business travel up to 50% of the time to include occasional nights and weekends. Must Haves
• Proven ability to drive an immediate impact on a sales team and growth in alignment with profit and brand goals.
• Beverage sales and business acumen with the ability to scale a distributor and exceed volume expectations.
• Commitment to representing the brand and company with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
• Experience opening accounts, managing large and small format account bases, and negotiating and closing deals.
• A desire to succeed, passion for brand building, and a strong work ethic with the ability to adapt to the fast-paced needs of the Sales team.
• Dependable, decisive, and highly organized with the ability to manage competing responsibilities and prioritize opportunities.
• Demonstrated ability to interface with key stakeholders across all levels, internally and externally,
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and resourceful, with a focus on doing it right vs. getting it done.
• Geographic knowledge of respective territory. Qualifications & Experience
• 7+ years of CPG Beverage chain sales experience
• Experience and relationships in Target, Circle K, Publix, or other similarly situated chain
• Experience managing and executing planning deadlines and targets cross functionally including but not limited to DSD, Trade Marketing, and RSMs
• A rolodex of Category contacts with working knowledge of internal processes of those chain contacts.
• Team player accustomed to wearing many hats
• Highly motivated self-starter with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Familiarity and aptitude with Gsuite, Microsoft Office, VIP, iDig + KARMA, Nielsen, and IRI data.
• Detailed oriented and extremely organized.
• Strong communicator who can provide exceptional customer service and react quickly to identify and solve problems.
• Must be able to pass a background check;
• Must be 21+.
• Bachelor’s degree or MBA preferred Additional Requirements
• Travel requirement across United States.
• Some lifting and the movement of moderate loads; 50-pound lifting requirements.
• Willingness to work outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, based on business demands.
• The ability to sit, stand, walk, and type for long periods of time.
