As the Backend Team Leader, you will spearhead a team of elite engineers responsible for the critical services that power a massive global ecosystem. This is a balanced role requiring high-level technical mentorship and hands-on architectural leadership. Responsibilities * Mentor & Scale: Foster a collaborative culture, guiding a team of skilled engineers through professional growth and architectural excellence. * Architectural Ownership: Drive the development of new features while ensuring systems remain scalable, reliable, and high-performing. * Production Excellence: Oversee seamless production operations, focusing on performance optimization and sophisticated incident response. * Data-Driven Leadership: Use metrics to ensure every task "moves the needle" and maximizes the team’s overall impact. Requirements * Leadership Experience: 2+ years of direct team management and 6+ years of hands-on experience in backend engineering and system architecture. * Core Tech Stack: Expert-level proficiency with TypeScript and Node.js. * Cloud & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with AWS and robust CI/CD pipelines. * Scale: Proven ability to design and maintain modern system architectures capable of handling high-performance, large-scale loads. * Mindset: A "can-do" attitude with the ability to navigate uncertainty and adapt to shifting business needs in a fast-paced environment. Preferred * Experience with Distributed Systems or Event-Driven Architecture. * Familiarity with LLMs and modern AI/ML tools. * Technical background in Networking, Proxies, or Reverse Engineering. * Experience developing solutions for major social media platforms or complex web environments.
