Job Description: The Application Support Engineer serves as the primary technical interface between customers, sales, marketing, and R&D for advanced optical multidisciplinary systems. The role combines pre-sale technical support, system integration, performance optimization, and on-site customer engagement. Responsibilities
• Provide pre-sale technical support including system presentations, technical discussions, and requirement analysis
• Support sales teams in customer meetings, demos, and proof-of-concept activities
• Lead on-site system installation, integration, calibration, and validation
• Perform system performance analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization
• Work closely with multidisciplinary R&D teams (optics, physics, algorithms, system engineering) to resolve complex technical issues
• Translate customer application needs into technical feedback for product improvement
• Conduct comparative performance evaluations and generate detailed technical reports
• Develop application notes, training materials, and customer documentation
• Deliver customer training sessions and workshops
• Travel internationally (30–40%) for installations, support, and customer engagements Requirements
• B.Sc. in Physics / Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electro-Optics Engineering
• Strong background in optical systems and multidisciplinary system integration – Must
• Experience in system-level troubleshooting and performance analysis
• Experience in customer-facing technical roles – Advantage
• Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment and measurement tools
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Fluent English (oral and written) – Must
• Experience with Excel and data visualization tools
• MATLAB – Advantage
• Willingness to travel internationally (30–40%)
