Our client in the Food and Beverage Industry is hiring a Director of Logistics! We’re looking for a Director of Logistics who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is ready to lead and optimize our end-to-end logistics strategy. This is a critical leadership role that will ensure our products move efficiently, cost-effectively, and reliably from manufacturing to our customers’ hands across a variety of complex distribution channels. Key Responsibilities * Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive logistics strategy aligned with company growth objectives, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. * Transportation Management: Oversee all modes of domestic and international transportation, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery across retail, e-commerce, and wholesale channels. * 3PL & Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party logistics partners, freight carriers, warehousing providers and box manufacturers. Negotiate contracts and monitor/enforce SLAs. * Warehouse & Inventory Oversight: Collaborate with warehouse operations to ensure optimal inventory levels, accurate order fulfillment, and on-time delivery. * Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to reduce logistics costs, increase service levels, and enhance visibility across the supply chain. * Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing logistics team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. * Data & Reporting: Leverage data analytics to drive decision-making, monitor KPIs (e.g., OTIF, freight cost per unit, order accuracy), and provide regular reporting to executive leadership. Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or related field. * 8+ years of progressive experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain roles within the CPG industry. * Experience in DTC & Retail logistics. * Demonstrated success managing 3PLs, freight providers, and multi-channel logistics networks. * Deep understanding of transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP (NetSuite) and EDI platforms. * Strong analytical and financial acumen; able to manage budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities. * Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. * Experience in a high-growth or startup environment is a plus. * Ability to Travel 10% to 3pl partners. * People Manager – 2 direct Reports.
